DIY Antique Wine Bar
Here’s a fun and simple DIY idea for those awkward antiques that you don’t know what to do with – add some cork handles, slap on some chalkboard paint and create your very own antique wine bar! Don’t you just love new uses for old furniture?

It seemed like a crime to paint a perfectly good antique so we decided to forgo the refinishing for a less intense/expensive furniture flip. Here’s a reminder of what it looked like before.

Not very different from the after is it? However I must say that the chalkboard really does update this piece of furniture without distracting from its’ antique charm.

And the cork handles for a wine bar are so apropos, no?
Thanks to my cork hoarding antics, generous neighbors and good friends at Plaid – this project was entirely free. Now we finally have a wine bar worthy of weekly Wine Wednesdays! Who is coming?
