Blah to Bling: Lisa’s Co2 Cartridges Turned Coat Rack
When we put our call out for the “Blah 2 Bling Holiday Gift Exchange” we knew that Lisa Fulmer our insanely talented, smart, funny and creative crafty sister would send us something particularly challenging….. However we weren’t expecting something as random as a bunch of empty Co2 cartridges! Did I mention that Lisa also has a knack for really pushing us over the creative edge?
Andrea immediately tasked me with this Blah to Bling transformation and I must say that these little whipped cream Co2 cartridges almost stumped me but I can’t be taken down that easily! After toying with a few complicated ideas I eventually landed on a simple coat rack with an industrial modern vibe.
I used a scrap piece of wood, three co2 cartridges and eco-friendly wood stain. Win for the Earth!
Andrea put in a special order for a 7 hanger coat rack when saw how cute her purse and scarf looked hanging from the one I made for Lisa…. Good thing she sent us 14 cartridges!
Merry Christmas to our dear crafty friend Lisa. Thank you for your endless amounts of inspiration and creative camaraderie. We heart you so very much!

Yay!!! I love it!!!! Very elegant and oh-so-handy. Those cartridges are indeed peg-worthy! You two are the bomb-diggity, you know how much I love my Curries! Merry and happy and kiss noises to you both, can’t wait to see you next month!
CHA – HERE WE COME!
btw… a couple people have asked me where to get the cartridges…I originally found these at the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse (http://www.creativereuse.org). A local bakery had saved their empties and donated them for the greater crafty good. Perhaps you have a local bakery that will do the same!
