Extreme Craft Room Makeover – Part 1

Well, it’s been a year since we hung our hats in this home and we’ve somehow managed to completely ignore the craft room remodel. I suppose that can be attributed to our crazy schedules, demanding dog (for real she is bossy) and DIY madness on the rest of the house. I’m no organizational expert but I seriously doubt one could start a booming creative business in this space….

and so project “Extreme Craft Room Makeover” begins. First things first- Get rid of the old nasty carpet.

Good news – I finally get to try my hand at painting a concrete floor. Bad news – I have tons of furniture to move and no garage…. I’ll keep you posted on the progress and if you don’t hear from me in a week send out the search crews, ok?

Craft On.

  2. advise: go with the more expensive floor paint, the kind that you add the color chips to. I painted our cement floor in the inclosed garage about four years ago, and have since had to touch up paint oh’ about ever year and could do it about ever 3 months. while a cousin used the before mentioned “more expensive paint” two yrs ago and doesn’t even have a scratch in it, and he did his in his business garage, lots of traffic on that floor. One of these days I will bite the bullet and repaint.

  3. I have a huge craft studio (15’x12′). The only problem is…..everyone else believes its a storage room. I have yarn on one end and my desk and photo/packing table on the other end in the middle is the black hole of death (as I call it). Boxes upon junk upon boxes stacked precariously, not to mention a recumbent bike, I would like to use but I think something is blocking my approach. Perhaps I’ll join you in your EXTREME MAKEOVER. Bring on Tye Pennington and lets DO IT!!
